ห้องอาหารยกยอ ก่อกำเนิดมา ตั้งแต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2526 ระยะเวลา 29 ปี เดิม ห้องอาหารยกยอตั้งอยู่ที่ท่าเรือวิสุทธิกษัตริย์ ข้างธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย โดยมีชื่อเสียงทางด้านอาหารไทย ,จีน และอาหารทะเลเผา เป็นห้องอาหารในเครือเดียวกับ ห้องอาหารวิจิตรมาลี มุมอนุสาวรีย์ประชาธิปไตย ถนนราชดำเนินกลาง

ห้องอาหารยกยอเป็นผู้เริ่มต้นธุรกิจเรือภัตตาคาร (DINNER CRUISE) แห่งแรกในประเทศไทย ครั้งแรกได้ใช้เรือเจ้าพระยาที่รัก ล่องแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา พาแขกชมวิวทิวทัศน์ สองฟากฝั่งแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา จุดเด่นที่สำคัญ คือ การบรรยายประวัติความเป็นมาของสถานที่สำคัญเช่นวัดวาอาราม สถานที่ราชการ พระบรมมหาราชวัง ฯลฯ ที่ตั้งอยู่สองริมฝั่งแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา เป็นที่ตื่นตาตื่นใจของลูกค้าทั้งชาวไทย และชาวต่างชาติ ต่างพากันเก็บภาพ ไว้เป็นที่ระลึกในความทรงจำ
